This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected, used, protected and shared within the scope of the are8.net website operated by are8 Finansal Teknolojiler A.Ş. ("are8") and the are8 OS, are8 POS, are8 Table and are8 EF products.

1. Data we collect

To provide our services, three groups of data are processed:

Data you share: full name, title, e-mail, phone, business information, and answers on application forms.Data arising from product use: sales and order records, device and session information, error and performance logs.Automatically collected technical data: IP address, browser and operating system information, and usage data obtained through cookies.

2. Purposes of use

Your data is processed for the purposes of providing and maintaining the service, managing your account, resolving your support requests, protecting the security and integrity of the product, measuring and improving service quality, fulfilling legal obligations, and — where you have given explicit consent — commercial communication.

3. Sharing of data with third parties

Your personal and commercial data is not sold to third parties for marketing purposes. Sharing takes place only in the following cases, limited to and proportionate with the purpose:

With the suppliers from whom we receive services such as cloud infrastructure, hosting, e-mail, call center and analytics (under a written confidentiality and data-processor obligation).Within the scope of your embedded finance (are8 EF) application and with the explicit consent you give; with financing companies and business partners licensed by the BDDK under Law No. 6361. To the extent mandatory for the assessment of your application, this sharing also covers financial data: POS and food-platform turnover information, collection and receivables data, expense and procurement records, bank account and IBAN information, tax and trade registry information, and the score and limit recommendations generated by are8 AI.With authorized institutions such as the Credit Registration Bureau (KKB), Findeks and the Risk Center; only within the scope of your explicit consent and for the purpose of application assessment.With payment institutions, electronic money institutions and integration providers; for the purpose of carrying out collection and reconciliation operations.In the event of fulfilling a legal obligation or upon the request of authorized public institutions and organizations.In company mergers, transfers or restructuring transactions, provided that the acquiring party assumes the same confidentiality obligations.

4. Data security

TLS encryption during transmission, access control and separation of authorization in storage, regular backup and logging are applied. Our employees can only access the data they need for their duties and are under a confidentiality undertaking.

5. Retention periods

Data is retained for the period required by the processing purpose and for the statute-of-limitation periods stipulated in the relevant legislation. When the purpose ceases to exist, the data is deleted, destroyed or anonymized.

6. Transfer abroad

Due to the nature of cloud infrastructure services, some data may be processed on servers located abroad. In this case, the necessary conditions under Article 9 of the KVKK are met and appropriate security measures are taken.

7. Your rights and changes

You can find your rights regarding your personal data in the KVKK Disclosure Statement section. Changes to this policy are published via are8.net; in the case of material changes, separate notice is also given.
